For the 7th year, Malaysia has put together yet again a star-studded line up for Malaysian Tennis Open 2015, last September 26 to October 4. The hard courts of the Putra Indoor Stadium at Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex has staged the battle to supremacy among the tennis players of the ATP circuit. Among the top ranking players who graced the event were David Ferrer (Spain, World #8), Feliciano Lopez (Spain, World #16), Ivo Karlovic (Croatia, World #18), Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria, World #19), and some common names such as Vasek Pospisil (Canada), Nick Kyrgios (Australia), Sam Groth (Australia), Mikhail Kukushkin (Kazakhstan), Radek Stepanek (Czech) and Victor Troicki (Servia) among others.
The 9-day tournament has witnessed spectators from the locals to the foreign guests and tourists alike, and broadcasted here and around the globe through cable channels by Malaysia's very own news team as well as international press. The public were not only treated to world-class tennis matches, but also with various activities within the sports complex such as refreshment areas, speed serve test, face painting and autograph boots where fans can meet and greet their favorite tennis players. At the Finals Day, David Ferrer emerged victoriously after 5 unsuccessful attempt of capturing the crown, beating his compatriot Feliciano Lopez for Singles category. While on the Men's Doubles, Treat Huey (Philippines) and Henri Kontinen (Finland) lifted the trophy edging former doubles champion Raveen Klaasen (Russia) and Rajeev Ram (USA).
